Like the wild jungle she was raised in, Celesta is a creature of instinct that knows little more than how to live her life to the fullest of her abilities. Somagrepians are strictly divided into tribes, and the females of these tribes have physical features that are used in courtship and to distinguish themselves from other tribes. Celesta is of the Lophor Tribe, as signified by her turquoise hair, winglets in front of her neck, and a pair of black, flightless wings. However, not much else is known about Celesta’s past or family, and since Celesta is a mute things will probably remain a secret. All that is known about Celesta is that ever since she was a young child Celesta has been a street rat scavenging the docks of Somagrep, a city built on top of a river in the jungle. Whenever she is not looking for food, Celesta is looking for a friend, which basically means anyone she sees, from locals to tourists. Her constant quest for food and companionship has led to Celesta becoming a local celebrity amongst those who work at the docks and tourist district.

Celesta does not have much of a work ethic, though she will sometimes offer to help ships move supplies and tourists in and out of Somagrep. While carrying luggage off a passenger ship, Celesta runs into Kara, and in spite of Celesta’s attempts to steal her lunch, the two girls quickly become friends. Kara is on vacation with Gabriel and Cyrus, hoping to have a brief escape from the trails and turmoil of Anryms. However, unbeknownst to anyone, Somagrep is about to be attacked by a band of jungle dwelling pirates. In a cruel twist of fate, Celesta and her newfound companions will find themselves at the epicenter of this assault.

The Lophors are known for their eager, friendly nature, their determination, and their large appetites, and Celesta is no exception. Celesta is constantly looking for anything to eat, both from the people to employ her and from the more often than not sympathetic tourist. Celesta will practically eat anything that is even remotely edible and is not sour or spicy, but she has a particular love for melons. In contrast to her eating habits, Celesta is extremely athletic, frequently swimming in the river and exploring the jungles surrounding Somagrep. While she is never mean spirited, Celesta has mischievous streak, often stealing items simply to gain attention, and she gets upset when things do not go the way she wants them to. She may not be able to talk, but Celesta is very vocal and has a way of getting her point across. When it comes to seeing new people and places, Celesta can easily be excited to the point that she becomes hyperactive, and then becomes heartbroken whenever she has to say goodbye to anyone she considers a friend. As active as Celesta’s lifestyle is, it can also be just as inactive; she has been known sleep for eighteen hours a day, often obstructing walkways and doors with her numerous naps. Those that work around the docks and tourist district have come to appreciate Celesta’s energy and kindness, and they do what they can to support her.

Celesta is not a fighter by nature; even though she can be aggressive at times, she cannot even conceive of intentionally hurting another person. However, Celesta’s natural instincts, developed through her active lifestyle, can be useful in a combat situation, and she is more than willing to protect anyone she considers a friend with her life. In spite of her youth and small stature, Celesta is deceptively strong, fast, and agile, and has incredibly high endurance to match. In addition, Celesta, like many Somagrepians, has control over a natural element that could be compared to the psychic abilities of an Aecidoalian. Celesta’s element is ice, though her use of said element is mostly unintentional given her inexperience in battle. Whenever Celesta bites something without the intention of eating it, the bite mark becomes incased in a small block of ice. Whenever she finds herself in a bad situation, Celesta’s first instinct is to flee and only fight when she has nowhere to run to. If she does find herself in a corner, Celesta can lash out, having taught herself how to fight with a variety of sticks.
