Phoenix Fire

- If August could speak, what would it say?
- August would speak of its empire lasting forever whilst glancing, warily,
at the leaves cooking on the trees.

This story was about a cabin in the woods that was on the verge of being consumed by a forest fire, so I decided to depict just that. In retrospect, I could've incorporated a bird motif into the picture, since the narrator compares the fire to a phoenix rising from the ashes.
